Funeral services for Joseph James Hose were held Tuesday afternoon at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial was in Wesley Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the floral tributes were Ed Young, Fred Davis, Tom Davis, Paul Burbrink, John Baugh and Richard Davidson. Selections were played on the organ by Mrs. O. C. Edwards - kbz.

Joseph J. Hose, 60, an employe of the Bank Cigar Store for about 17 years, died shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday while at work. He had been hospitalized recently with a heart ailment. Mr. Hose resided on Barcus Orchard Road southwest of this city. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Eagles Lodge. A native of Linden, he was born April 28, 1907, to James Martin and Laura (Grubb) Hose. His first marriage was to Pauline Sawyer who preceded him in death. On Aug. 24, 1953, he was married to Mary Davis Surviving along with his widow are his mother; three daughters, Mrs. Joan Baugh of Chicago Heights, Ill., Mrs. Laura Marie Bennett of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Virginia Burbank of Kentland; six step-children, Mrs. Louise Hitch, Thomas Davis, Fred Davis, Mrs. Maxine McCollum, Mrs. Beverly Kasupaska and Mrs. Violet Bane; 11 grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at a Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. John R. Servies officiating. Interment will be in Wesley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday. – jlr
